In the next ten years Builders using conventional systems for residential and commercial construction
will experience a serious shortfall of good materials and skilled labor to meet the growing demand for
new building starts. These particular shortages will seriously affect the performance of the framing
trade and the overall quality of the finished product.
Already new and exciting and truly alternative systems for residential and commercial construction are
coming into public awareness. The most promising, by far, is a product that has been in the scene for
over twenty years but now appears to be an idea whose time has come.
The union of EXPANDED POLY STYRENE (EPS) and STEEL TUBE STUDS has the explosive potential to alter forever our present practice of stick building. This system opens a new frontier in the building trades and most important of all it is available to every builder at an entry level to suit the need.
AUTOMATED BUILDING MACHINERY (ABM) now builds a complete line of machines which handle the panel and wall manufacturing in any state of automation required by the project, big or small. The
machines pictured on the following pages would handle the building of three 2000 square foot homes per week. Best of all, ABM contracts with the builder or developer to build the exact size project required and transfers the total technology as well.
This home is currently under construction in Ash Fork, Az. The panels were fabricated by ABM and the erection was done by Mint Creek Construction, Inc. 4/2006.
